Rootflage is the brainchild of Lucy Williamson O'Quinn, a born and raised Southern California local. Lucy has been experimenting with hair color since the days of Flock of Seagulls and hairspray. In 2012, she visited a beauty supply store and was surprised to find that there were no products designed specifically for blondes to cover their roots between salon visits. This led to a lightbulb moment for Lucy, and she took on the mission of creating a solution herself. The goal of Rootflage is to provide an easy, affordable, and efficient way for women (and men) to maintain their hair color between salon appointments. The brand initially started with blonde root touch up colors, but Lucy later expanded the line to include shades for brunettes and redheads as well. Rootflage prides itself on being an inclusive root touch-up brand, and is open to creating new shades based on customer feedback.
